What is LDAT?

LDAT stands for Landfill Degradation and Transport model. The model is a simulator of the landfill processes that are involved in the degradation of landfilled waste into leachate and gas. The simulator uses well known physical and bio-chemical relationships to calculate and represent the material changes that are taking place.

Technically LDAT enables you to solve the constitutive equations of landfill processes using a finite difference algorithm within a framework of rectangular elementary volumes. The website contains fully documented Help and Information resources.
